This Daddy-spec unit from the JVC crew is a stonking piece of kit that llows you to watch DVDs, control your iPod and even build a proper 5:1 surround sound system. There's the now obligatory on-board 4x5OW(peak) amplifier, two 5v pre-outs and a dedicated 5v sub-out which will make building a serious system a piece of chocolate sponge cake. If you're a serious audiophile, you'll be pleased to know that this trick unit is capable of high quality DVD-audio playback. In fact, pretty much all media formats are catered for, with MPJ, WMA, WAV and even Divx (that'll be porn movies downloaded from the internet, then) files supported. The 3.5-inch colour screen is crystal clear, the controls are dead easy to use and it offers top value for money as well. Happy days.
