Built-in 20GB HDD for advanced search functions The HDD navigation system takes advantage of the high capacity and high speed of the built-in HDD to deliver quicker and more efficient searching than is possible with standard CD- or DVD-based navigation. You can search for a destination by Postcode, by Address and by Latitude/Longitude. Search by Address Book is a JVC exclusive that lets you create shortcuts to six addresses. You can even give them convenient names. Search by Word(s) is especially convenient because matching cities are listed, and the choice is narrowed down as you input your destination letter by letter.
Prioritise your route A wide variety of route calculation options let you set priorities as you like. Choose your route by setting parameters such as Fastest/Shortest, Detour Motorway/Ferry/Toll Road, and Use Dynamic Route Guidance.
Comprehensive P.O.I. search The high-capacity HDD permits a wider variety of search functions, including three additional modes of P.O.I. search - search within a 5km radius of the current position, 5km radius of the destination, and 1km radius of the route. For quick pinpoint search, JVC's HDD Navi comes with over 500 P.O.I. categories.
P.O.I. address and phone number display Narrow down the POI search and select a specific destination. The unit can display its address and phone number. Use it to call and reserve a restaurant table on your way, for instance.
Route guidance with display Once you set the destination and are on the way, the route guidance gives you directions, turn-by-turn, in the language and type of voice you select (eight languages in a male or female voice). For your convenience, the display shows on-screen stylised guidance information as well.
Voice guidance cruise function When you accelerate, engine revs go up and road noise increases, making it difficult to hear voice guidance messages. The voice guidance cruise function automatically adjusts the volume level of the guiding voice according to the velocity of your car, so you always hear messages loud and clear.
Multi-media and multi-format compatible Enjoy music on CD-R/RM discs; DVD-R/RW discs with 'GIGA MP3' function; SD cards; or 6GB of dedicated music server space on the built-in HDD. Using the SD card slot you can copy music from SD to HDD. For versatility, data may be in regular CD-DA (Compact Disc Digital Audio) format, MP3 format, or WMA format. CDs are dubbed to HDD as music is compressed real-time, while MP3 files are moved from SD to HDD at 64x normal speed.
Music file management It's as simple as using the directory system on your computer: move music files and folders stored on the HDD music server and sort them by genre or album. The Playlist function lets you make your own virtual compilation albums for instant playback whenever you want.
